TURKEY TOUR GROUP POTO TRAVEL

There were 20 persons including the Poto tour leader from Malaysia. The tour guide, Bulent, is a native Turk. We started our journey on 26th Of April 2011 by Gulf Air.

The flight from KLIA to Bahrain was about 8 hours and we were given two meals. The lunch was a choice of meat, fish or chicken. I chose meat.

In Bahrain we stayed at Golden Tulip. The food for this tour group is below 2 star and there was no Wifi given to us.

May be the other tour group enjoyed better food and facilities. But we were here only for just a transit. The next flight would be tomorrow morning. More over we were extremely tired and everybody was ready for the nap. Below is the proper dining hall of this hotel.

Wake up call was at  am to beat the Subuh prayer. In Turkey the wake up calls were at 5 am every morning. And breakfast at 6 am.

Most of the days we began our trip at 7 am. The travel was a hectic one because each day we would move between 8 to 12 hours a day. More time on the bus and the visit to places were just one or two. But we can enjoy the sight seeing and enjoy watching the land scaping.

Every time the bus would stop for Zohor prayer.

AT ISTANBUL IMMIGRATION

There was a huge crowd at the immigration terminal but the whole process was fast. The Malaysians go  together with the native Turk. Similarly colossal crowds were found at the visit sites like the museum and the blue mosque.

Visitors were just everywhere.

A big part of Turkey is of agriculture land. There is also a poppy growing area. We were told the poppy are only to be sold to the government and the government would sell to companies that manufacture drugs for medical purposes.

On the way we stopped to rest at several places. The toilets at every restaurant both in towns and along the roadways are found to be very clean. A few would charge 1 lira for the usage. It is about RM1.50.

Makanan - My food at the hotel for breakfast and dinner would always be a potato and a soup. A boil egg is an additional item for me.

I found this at Istanbul airport "SMOKERS DIE YOUNGER'
and on the read box it says 'Smoking Kills'. Who is afraid of
early death ? Tell the school children and they just don't care.

If smokers dir younger, it meant nothing to elderly people
to smoke. They are no more young. In Turkey you will see a lot
of young Turkish girls smoke in public. I can't say about the
use of poppy among the youths. But we were told not to go out
after 7 pm and just stay foot in the hotels.

We came across a young girl looked like a drug addict begging
from one of our tour members and she was chased away by one
passer by.

To be continued.
